While navigating this web site you will encounter ICONS and HYPERLINKS that can
assist you in moving quickly from point to point. The table below is intended
to show you the appearance of the icons & hyperlinks and provide their
general meaning:

ICON: Top of Page
This icon will return to to the top of the current page you are viewing.

This icon will take you back to a prior page in a series of pages. A short name
appearing under the icon will inform you on where it is going to take you.

name appearing under the icon will inform you on where it is going to take you.

ICON: Additional Content
This icon indicates that there is additional content below what you are
currently viewing. This icon will only appear when there is a high possibility
that you may not be aware that there is more to be viewed. (You can also
use your browsers scroll bar on the right side of the screen to move up and
down within a page.)

Hyperlinks are the easy-to-spot blue words or
phrases that become red & underlined when you hover over them. When clicked
in World Wide Web documents, you will jump to another screen or page.
Typically, after visiting a hyperlinked document, you can simply press
the browsers back button to return you to the original document.

Once you begin a Terminal Server session, you can use the following Windows key
combinations list to navigate within the session:

Notes:
When working in a FULL SCREEN Terminal Server session, you can switch between
your local desktop and the remote session by minimizing the remote session via
the CONNECTION BAR. If the CONNECTION BAR is not visible at the top of the
screen, simple move your cursor to the top and it will automatically drop down
and become visible.

Current
User ID:
|
|
This field will display the Domain\User ID for the user who is currently
logged into the system. By clicking on this field you will be redirected to the
Logon / Logoff Screen where you can obtain additional information
regarding your user account.

Client
IP Address:
|
|
This field will display the IPv4 address of the workstation from which the
user is accessing this system from. By hovering over the IP address, a Tool Tip
will appear displaying the Network Name which the address has been associated
with. For example, most users will see the "Default" name appear when
connecting to the site from within a Managed Web Services TSx network. However, if the user is
accessing the system via MCN Secure Dial, the Tool Tip will display
"SecureDial" indicating that it has mapped the client address as a SecureDial
network address. If you are experiencing problems launching an application,
this information may become critical in resolving the issue.

Web
Server ID:
|
|
This number represents which web server replied to your last request. In the
event that one of servers is experiencing problems, this information will
assist in pin-pointing the server quickly.
|
Menu
Bar:
|
|
The Menu Bar will be your primary means of navigation within the web site. By
simply clicking on the name that appears between the | |'s, you will be
redirected to the desired location. Also, as you hover over the menu option,
the wording will change from white text to black.

This will return to the Managed Web Services TSx home page.

Application Center:
This is where you will find Application Icons for the environments which you
are authorized to access.

Support:
When you encounter a problem, this should be your first place to look for
answers. Information to quickly solve common problems will be posted here as
soon as it becomes available.

Public
Messages:

The Public Messages area is designed to provide general information
regarding changes, updates or scheduled outages that may affect the Managed Web Services TSx web
site. More specific information regarding particular applications will be
posted within the Application Center.

Contact
Information:
|
|
At the bottom of each page you will find a link to key contact information
in the event you need assistance or would like to provide feedback to the
development teams.

If you are on a trusted network, you will be able to select the Remember Me
feature which will store your user credentials as a cookie on your PC. Note: If
you clear your cookies on your PC, this information will be lost.

Logon
/ Logoff:

|
After you have entered your User ID, Password and Domain, press the Logon
button to authenticate to the Managed Web Services TSx web site.
|
Change
Password:
|
|
This button will redirect your browser to the Managed Web Services TSx Password Reset web
page.
|
Clear
Fields:
|
|
Clears the User ID and Password fields.
|
Cancel
Operation:
|
|
Cancels your logon request and redirects you to the Managed Web Services TSx home page.

Application Center

Icon:

|
This is an Icon that represents the application. Based on your role within
the organization, the Application Center will generate a dynamic list of
applications to which you have access. To launch an application, simply click
on the Application Icon. When hovering the mouse over the Icon, a more
descriptive name of the application will appear as a Tool Tip.

Application
Name:
|
|
This is the Short Name of the application. When hovering the mouse over the
name, the destination protocol and host will appear as a Tool Tip.
Examples: "HTTP://WWW.MANAGEDWEBSERVICES.COM" or "RDP:MWSTS01"
|
Preference
Bar Area:
|
|
The Preference Bar Area is a dynamically generated menu that will provide
you with a means to set desired preferences for an application:
Possible Options:
-
Disk Icon:
Will allow you to save your preferences if you are on a trusted network.

Resolution:
Allows you to set your desired Desktop Size (Full Screen, 1024x768, 800x600,
etc.) for a terminal session.

Mappings:
Allows you select which Client Devices should be redirected into the terminal
session. Example: To have access to your local PCs C: drive, you would redirect
"Drives" to the terminal session.

Connection Speed:
Allows you to specify how fast your connection speed to the Managed Web Services TSx Data
Center is which in turn will enable / disable selected features to give you the
best possible user experience:

LOW (Default):
User Experience: Low Color, No Audio, No Animations
(For connects over Dial-up or slower, you may wish to select "Low" to reduce
bandwidth requirements.)

MEDIUM:
User Experience: High Color, Limited Audio, No Animations
-
HIGH:
User Experience: True Color, Full Audio, Full Animations
(The "High" value should only be used if you are located on the same LAN
connection as the server.)

Due to security reasons, once you launch your application, you will be
required to re-enter your Windows password. (Your User ID and Domain will
already be filled in from the Managed Web Services TSx logon information.)

To properly exit a Terminal Server Session, you should
choose the Logoff option which can be found in the Start Menu. By using the
Logoff option, your session will be closed and all settings will return to
their initial state when you logon again.

Disconnect
Option:
(Not Recommended)
|
|
The disconnect button "RED X" found in the upper right corner of the
Terminal Server Session window can be used when you wish to disconnect from
your session but leave your applications running so that you can reconnect at a
later time. Note: A disconnected session will timeout and be reset after 60
minutes.
